The practice

The process, in four parts.

01

Name what feels like you

Start with how you want to feel in your clothes. Your own words matter more than a trend or style label.

02

Make it visible

Collect the shapes, fabrics, colours, and outfits you keep responding to. This becomes your reference for every decision that follows.

03

Decide what stays

Go through what you own and notice what you actually wear. Keep what works; let go of pieces you hold from guilt, cost, or a vague someday.

04

Fill the real gaps

Make a short list of what is missing before you shop again. The aim is a useful closet, not simply more clothes.

How it works

Start with your taste, then open the wardrobe.

1

Choose how you want to feel

Use your own words, such as relaxed, elegant, playful, comfortable, or undone. This is not a style-personality quiz.

2

Build a visual reference

Respond to clothes, silhouettes, and textures until the patterns in your taste become easy to see.

3

Go through your closet

Use that reference to decide what stays, what goes, and what you may genuinely need next.

The question

It is easy to ask whether something is cute. The more useful question is: will I wear it, does it feel like me, and does it work with the life I actually have?
